    For two weekends only the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire will be hosting a wonderful medieval fantasy getaway for the whole family. Experience what life was like during the Middle Ages as Knights and Ladies roam about the mystic lands of Three Maples Farm in Kingston NH. Enjoy live entertainment from theatre, music and dance. Be a part of a human chess match and other competitive games that are perfect for anyone of all ages. Watch brave Knights battle it out in a live reenactment performance! Not only will this faire be filled with fun and excitement, but is also donating money to the New Hampshire Food Bank with some proceeds that will be made at the event. If you would like to help this fair reach its goal by raising enough money to help feed the hungry, all you have to do is attend and enjoy your stay.   • The New Renaissance Faire of the Month, Abbadia Mare Festival

    If you enjoy attending Renaissance Festivals, be sure to check out some of the new fairs as well, for example the upcoming Abbadia Mare Festival, a renaissance festival at the amazingly beautiful Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA on July 23rd and 24th of 2011 at 80 Hesperus Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930. This Renaissance Festival will be going from 11 am to 5 pm per day. We are filled to the brim already with over 10 performers and vendors are constantly applying for their spot in the Festival. If you enjoy some epic battles, this festival is planning to conduct a “Human Chess Match”, so you will not want to miss that!

     

    The tickets for this event will be $12 for adults and $7 for kids (kids under 4 will be free). More information is located on our website at http://www.abbadiamarefestival.com. Parking will be located at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA for an additional $15 per car.  No parking will be available at the Castle itself.  There will be free busing to and from the event.

  • Winslowshire Festival for the Animals

    Need to find a renaissance fair that is fun for the whole family, especially for the kids? Well The Winslowshire Festival for the Animals is back, this fair really needs our help, with over 300 to 350 abused and abandoned animals, the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary takes care of these animals, providing them with food, shelter and love.

    The Festival started in 2008 with 16 vendors and 10 performers and won 3rd place best new Renaissance Festival from Renaissance Festival Music Podcast.

    it than grew in 2009 with 45 vendors and 20 performers and won 2nd place best New Renaissance Festival from Renaissance Festival Music Podcast.

    Than finally last year of 2010 they also had 45 vendors and 20 performers and as a small renaissance festival that is only one weekend they still have momentum by having over 1000 fans on their Facebook page.

    This coming June will be from 11 am to 5 pm per day and the tickets are just $12 for adults and $7 for kids with some special discounts that are located on our website at www.winslowshire.com – also be sure to take a gander on their blog for more information in regards to that festival at www.winslowshire.wordpress.com
